Furthermore, it has an unlike crystalline structure, and a unique ability of exchange cautions, which are positively charged ions. This unique substitution of ions helps this chemical to selectively absorb certain harmful and unwanted elements from the water. Zeolite interchanges sodium ions for calcium ions which ultimately gives soft water. Adding on, zeolite also has a robust affinity for harmful heavy metals like mercury lead and chromium.
