REDISPERSIBLE POLYMER POWDER is a free-flowing, white powder obtained by spray drying of an aqueous vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer dispersion. When blended with water, these powders redisperse back into liquid emulsions with essentially identical properties to the original emulsions.
- Construction: Redispersible polymer powders are most commonly used in the construction industry. They are added to cement-based products, such as mortars, tile adhesives, grouts, self-leveling compounds, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), and concrete repair materials.
- Coatings and Paints: They are also used in the formulation of paints and coatings, particularly in exterior paints and textured coatings.
- Pharmaceuticals: In the pharmaceutical industry, redispersible polymer powders may be used as a matrix in tablet formulations.
