Description : 

Chalk powder is a soft, fine-grained, white to grayish, porous sedimentary rock that is primarily composed of the mineral calcite, which is calcium carbonate (CaCO3​). It originates from the gradual accumulation and compression of minute calcified shells and skeletons of microscopic marine organisms, such as coccolithophores and foraminifera, over millions of years under deep marine conditions. While naturally occurring chalk is almost pure calcite, it may contain small proportions of other minerals like quartz, clay, and sometimes flint nodules.

Uses :
