Description : 

It quantifies the indentation hardness of materials, providing a numerical value that indicates their resistance to indentation.Specifically, the Shore-A scale is used for softer materials. The durometer features a spring-loaded indenter with a specific shape and size.   When pressed against the material, the indenter penetrates the surface, and the depth of penetration is measured. This measurement is then translated into a numerical value on the Shore-A scale, ranging from 0 to 100. A higher number indicates a harder material. These devices adhere to industry standards such as ASTM D2240, ensuring consistent and reliable measurements.

    • Quality control: Ensuring rubber products meet specific hardness standards. This includes seals, gaskets, O-rings, and various molded rubber parts.
